The record
What our investigations are uncovering
Our records searches across the 2022, 2024, and 2026 election cycles are turning up major discrepancies and numerous likely violations of Alaska law, possibly including:
Unreported and misreported money
Contributions that never appear where the law requires them — omitted entirely, reported in the wrong cycle, or attributed to the wrong source.
Expenditures that don't reconcile
Reported spending that conflicts with bank statements, vendor invoices, and third-party records for the same transactions.
Signs of unlawful coordination
Independent expenditure groups showing indicators of coordination with the campaigns they are legally required to stay independent from.
Out-of-state and dark money
Funds routed through intermediary entities so the original source never appears on an Alaska disclosure report.
Matters described here reflect discrepancies identified in public records and are pursued through the Alaska Public Offices Commission's complaint process. A finding of a violation is for APOC and the courts to make.
